One of possibly the greatest third basemen to ever play the game of Baseball is hanging up his cleats.
Adrian Beltre, the only full-time third baseman to ever hit more than 400 Home Runs and get more than 3,000 hits, has announced his retirement after playing 21 seasons in the big leagues.
Beltre released a statement on Tuesday:

Beltre will finish his career 23 Home Runs short of 500, but that should not stop him from being a first ballot Hall of Famer. He hit .286 over his 21 year career, 477 Home Runs, 1,707 RBIs and was a 5 time Gold Glove winner.
Adrián Beltré is the only player since 1933 to hit for the cycle 3 times.#ThankYouAB pic.twitter.com/eef6efb6x5
