The third annual WWE Warrior award recipient has been announced.
The Warrior award, named after WWE legend Ultimate Warrior, is an award given to someone who is not necessarily involved with wrestling. It honors someone with the courage and toughness to fight and be a true warrior. Past Warrior award winners are Connor “The Crusher” Michalek and Joan Lunden.
ESPN reported early Monday afternoon that former Rutgers college football player Eric LeGrand will be this year’s award winner.

Dana Warrior, the wife of the late Ultimate Warrior, will present LeGrand with the award on March 31st at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
LeGrand has been an inspiration to many across the globe after suffering a spinal cord injury on the football field in 2010. He is now a motivational speaker and gives many people hope that they can live a full and enjoyable life even after suffering an injury such as his.
Even though he is paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life, LeGrand continues every day to find a cure for paralysis and inspire those who may have given up on life because of this.
Congratulations to LeGrand on getting this prestigious honor.
