Fantasy Pros Draft Wizard 2018 All-Rookie Team

I’m at work goofing around (I wish I got paid to write sports articles) and I thought it would be fun to practice my fantasy draft skills and try to draft a complete team of rookies. I came close, but I just couldn’t pick a rookie quarterback, I’m not that crazy.

Here is the team I drafted:

I had the second draft pick and I knew Saquon Barkley would fly off the board and since this is a rookie draft, I picked Barkley with the second overall pick. But I would like to have Barkley on my real fantasy team. That’s funny, I used real and fantasy consecutively in a sentence.

In the second round I picked Deshaun Watson, not a rookie, but another player I would like to have on my real fantasy team and I knew he would be gone quick too.

With my third pick, I chose Derrius Guice. I’m still not convinced Guice will be the starting running back in Washington. As of 22 May, Ourlad’s NFL Scouting Services 2018 depth chart lists Rob Kelley as the starter, but I wouldn’t sleep on Chris Thompson either.

In the fourth round, I picked Rashaad Penny. I think Penny will be the starter in Seattle and I would like to land him on my real team, he may put up better numbers than Barkley! That’s right, you heard it here. I Know it’s early, but Ourlad’s NFL Scouting Services 2018 depth chart lists him first.

Next, I Picked Calvin Ridley. I would LOVE to get him on my real team. I expect great things from him. I think he will be very good, and he would be great to have in a keeper league. [I do need a keeper wide receiver and he runs great routes…oh just thinking out loud.]

In round six, I picked Michal Gallup, another wide receiver I would like to get my hands on, especially in a keeper league, some like CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso, are predicting Gallup to compete for Rookie of the Year.

Next, I picked tight end Hunter Henry, another player I would like to have on my real team. Do you see a trend here?

In round eight I Picked Martavis Bryant. Bryant will do great things in Oakland. You guessed it, I would love to see his name on my real fantasy team too.

In round nine, I picked Marlon Mack, in a pinch I might pick Mack on my real team, he is penciled in as the projected starter as of now.

Next, I chose Cooper Kupp, another player I would like to get.

Next, I took Delanie Walker.

In round 12, I took Philip Rivers, not a bad back up QB.

In round 13, I chose Kenny Stills. It’s hard to have a complete rookie team, but I would take Stills on my team.

Next, I chose the Dallas Cowboys defense. I could have got the Seattle Seahawks defense, but the Legion of Boom is gone. They should change their name to the Legion of Gloom, and yes, I had to do a “Control F” to find the Cowboys, but don’t sleep on the Cowboys they will be good this year. DeMarcus Lawrence had a break out year with 14.5 sacks and Jaylon Smith looks as good if not better than his time at Notre Dame. They have some good up and coming DBs and don’t forget about hiring the Legion of Boom’s DB ex-coach, Kris Richard.

And finally, I took kicker, Justin Tucker

I said this was an all-rookie team and I got a 51 out of 100, not too good on paper, but there are some intriguing players on this team. Stay tuned to see who I really pick in my upcoming fantasy drafts.
