It is time once again to head out to the most popular half mile track in NASCAR which is dubbed Thunder Valley and considered to be “The Last Great Colosseum”. Yes we are talking about the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, considered to be the most tempermental tracks in modern history, and it truly lives up to its name. It is the second half mile race in the 2018 season, where everyone is a contender no matter how hard you are winning or struggling. There are lots of active winners at Bristol.

Kyle Busch is officially on a roll after capturing his second pole of the season and and also the second of his career at Bristol. Kyle is coming off a win at Texas and has finished in the top three in the last five races of 2018. He is looking for his seventh win at Bristol and second consecutive as he won the night race last season. It will also be his sixth top ten start in the last seven races and third time out of four starting on the front row. Kyle is currently the points leader and the only Joe Gibbs winner.

Brother Kurt (second) is starting alongside his brother up front. Kurt is looking for is sixth Bristol win, but has finished in the top five in two of the last four races overall. Brad Keselowski (third) has won twice at Bristol, but has finished 18th or worst in the last four. Ricky Stenhouse Jr (fourth) makes his highest start ever at Bristol, and has finished second twice. Ryan Blaney makes his fourth straight top ten Bristol start as he hopes to finish better than 10th last season.

Two-time winners Jimmie Johnson (17th) and Kevin Harvick (39th) are starting outside the top ten with Joey Logano starting 10th. 2012 Fall winner Denny Hamlin will start 25th.
