HOLLOWAY – ALDO 2 FINISHES SAME AS 1ST TIME

In actuality it took MAX “BLESSED” HOLLOWAY 38 seconds more to TKO JOSE ALDO than last time. To become unified champ Max TKO’d him 4:13 of round 3. This time he did the same thing 4:51 of the 3rd round. But when it comes to mere seconds…. who’s counting anyways. The 25 year old champion arguably may have been upstaged by other fighters on the card; but was definitely upstaged by his very young son doing a dabbing dance in the cage. Post fight Max continued very hard to push for a “UFC Hawaii card”. Something that Dana White has been reluctant to try and plan. But with Max on a 12 fight win streak it may need to happen now. Conceivably with either FRANKIE EDGAR or CUB SWANSON as challenger. Jose; who’s lost 3 of his last 4 fights had a very tough weight cut and hinted it might be time to go up to lightweight. However with the 2 spankings Max laid on him, it’s a scary thought to imagine what those killers a division up will do to him. There’s also the possibility of Holloway going up there as well; in a super fight challenge with CONOR MCGREGOR; who was the last man to beat Max.

As far as the fight goes; the right side of Aldo’s face got red really fast from max connecting with jabs. Aldo however managed to catch Max with a stinging upper cut while Holloway was “clowning around”. Max’s reaction; was to stand there smile and clap for him. As Max continued to land more and more consistently Aldo started to breathe heavier and heavier. Jose connected with some solid shots that did back Max up at times, and his leg kicks were working at 1st. The 2 exchanged a couple of times with Max getting the better of them as he was chirping while throwing. By the middle of the second round it was abundantly clear Jose’s gas tank was running on fumes while Max’s was still full. Proving Max’s stamina is second to only TONY FERGUSON’s. Finally Holloway at the cage just teed off on a bloodied Aldo when referee HERB DEAN jumped in to save the former champ.
