Ivory to be Inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

The WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018 is starting to shape up to be quite the event.

Ivory will be the latest inductee for the 2018 Hall of Fame class, adding even more depth to a very strong class which features Goldberg and The Dudley Boyz as headliners for the spectacle.

The ceremony will take place at the Smoothie King Center on Friday April 6th in New Orleans, just two nights before WrestleMania.

Ivory’s career spanned over the course of three decades, starting out in the world famous GLOW promotion under the name Tina Ferrari. She then moved on to the WWE in the late 90’s as a manager and quickly transitioned to a wrestler for the company, winning the Women’s title fairly quickly and on two different occasions. Ivory had plenty of experience wrestling prior to joining WWE, so her original usage as a valet for the likes of D’Lo Brown was kind of shocking for those who knew of her back in her GLOW days.

Ivory may have been one of the best female wrestlers of her time, but she may be known best for her time in the Right to Censor faction.

Joined by Steven Richards, The Goodfather, Bull Buchanan and Val Venis, Right to Censor was one of the most hated factions of all-time. They were controversial for their unpopular views and dressed in uniform, turning once fan favorites such as The Godfather into hated villains because of their change of attitude.

The unique part about Ivory joining the faction was the fact she seemed to blossom because of it.

We witnessed more wrestling and were not focused on looks, as most programming surrounding the women of the company were geared towards sex appeal and scantly clad outfits.

Ivory flourished on the microphone and had some of her best matches with the faction until their split in 2001.

Ivory will always be known as one of the first WRESTLERS of the revamped women’s division.

Congratulations to Ivory on her 2018 Hall of Fame induction.
