Jets Sign Le’Veon Bell

The Le’Veon Bell saga is finally over as the New York Jets have signed the former Pittsburgh Steeler RB to a four year, $52.5 million deal which can expand to $61 million after incentives. $35 million of the deal is guaranteed money.

For those wondering, the Bell holdout tolled all season just to get LESS money than what the Steelers offered him last season.

This is also the same Bell who responded to a fan that $60 million in cash wouldn’t be enough to come to the Jets.

Looks like $61 million was enough for one of the best in the game to head to the Jets.

With Bell in tow, the Jets need at least one more top receiving option to fully operate as a functional offense. Bell is a freakish talent but the O-Line needs to protect and there needs to be a passing game to bounce back and forth with. Otherwise, defenses will stack the box and no matter how elusive Bell is, he won’t be able to gain any type of traction whether busting through the gut or off of a screen.

Signing Bell is a step in the right direction.
