Mets Sign Todd Frazier

The “Todd-Father” is staying in New York.

He’s just switching boroughs.

Ken Rosenthal reported on Monday evening that Frazier and the New York Mets have agreed on a two year deal worth $17 million.

The Mets have surprisingly been very active this free agency period, mostly due to everyone else being stagnant and players’ values dropping.

Frazier adds some more power to an already solid lineup, however he continues the trend of low batting average and high strikeout ratio.

Frazier’s veteran leadership and great defense will be a necessary asset since Curtis Granderson is no longer the clubhouse leader and David Wright is still injured.

The Mets scored some decent value here with the signing of Frazier. Now it’s up to Frazier to earn that paycheck.
