Mets Win 8th in a Row

The New York Mets were looking to forget a disastrous 2017 season and start anew in 2018.

Who would have thought they could have made everyone forget so quickly?

At 10-1, the Mets have now won eight straight after picking up a 4-1 victory over Miami on Wednesday, sweeping the Marlins in Miami.

With only an Easter Sunday loss to St. Louis as their only blemish, the Mets have been playing extremely good baseball. Timely hits and much improved patience at the plate have helped New York thrive. Yoenis Cespedes has been taking names with his hot start, showing why the Mets paid him superstar money in the first place.

Perhaps the biggest story is the pitching.

Everyone for the most part is healthy at the top of the rotation while the bullpen has been pretty solid compared to last year’s bunch. Could it be the Mickey Callaway effect?

While we all know this run by New York will soon end, their hot start is no fluke. Even with Travis d’Arnaud going down with an injury, the Mets are poised to make a big splash and show everyone that last year’s injury filled debacle was indeed a one off.

There are still 151 games remaining in the season. A lot of time left.
