We are starting the new week with a 7 game slate, and I want to attack a bit. While we are keeping our heads above water with GPP cashes and some cash game backup, the big score still eludes us as we are less than 3 weeks from the WSOP in Las Vegas.  We need some cash for those big events. Last night, we went with the Tigers with little success, but did score a bit with some hedge stacks using the Angeles pitcher with Samardzija and Arizona bats.

The pitching today is abysmal so finding the correct combination is absolutely key in taking down a GPP today. This is one of the few slates where basically every pitcher is in play. McCarthy and Manea top the list but both are coming back from injuries. Neither are over $10K. Straily and Musgrove are next around $8K and face off against each other. I will have coverage on all of these pitchers for my stacks, but not in my Optimal Lineup. I tried to attack two teams that could give high strikeout totals and easily be shut down by a decent performance. I first took Jesse Chavez against the White Sox. He is only 2-5 on the season, but he has 37 K’s in 45 innings and an ERA just over 4.00. He was only $7.8K. Next I went with Chase Anderson at San Diego. At only $6.8K he is 2-0 with a 2.98 ERA and 34 K’s in just 39 innings. I am just looking to get 30 plus points from this tandem, but a 40 point night is very possible. Only spending $14.6K on pitching gave me every option possible with hitting.

I took four batters with good BVP numbers and four others who are just crushing the ball and have high ceilings. At Catcher, I went with Vogt at $3.1K versus Gallardo who he is 4 for 9 against with 1 HR and a .545 OBP. My second baseman is Villar at $4.5K who is 5 for 5 with a walk against Perdomo. He has also been hitting very well and should easily get into double digits tonight. I also added Alonzo at 1B against Gallardo as he is 10 for 28 with 1 HR against him and could easily hit a home run tonight. Finally, Bautista looks to be coming around and is facing Colon tonight who is getting rocked. He is only 4 for 15 against the righty with 1 HR, but does have a .450 OBP against him. I filled in my infield with Lamb at 3B against Wheeler and Segura at SS against the lefty in Oakland. This left me enough money to play two hammers in the outfield. First, Conforto is on fire and is hitting in Arizona, second I took Trout who is a lineup mainstay as he faces the White Sox at home tonight. I am hoping there is diversity with my pitching as my hitting is solid and could be very high owned.

I also plan to add a bunch of stacks tonight. My main teams will be San Francisco, the Dodgers, and the Angeles. The Mets, Arizona, and Seattle could also bust out as I will have a ton of coverage and mini stacks there. I plan to add a 2nd main lineup once I see all of the team lineups posted. I will put that one on twitter at @CHRISBOUCHARD88 before 7pm. Good Luck!!!
