Mock Fantasy Football Draft

I’m gearing up for my fantasy football drafts and I love to practice mock drafts with Fantasy Pros’ Fantasy Football Draft Simulator, this is the team I drafted:

In round one, with the first pick in the draft I chose RB David Johnson. I love the way Arizona uses Johnson in their offense. You really can’t go wrong with David Johnson, Le’Veon Bell or Ezekiel Elliott with any of your first three picks. They are in a different tier of players. However, Elliott may drop if he is suspended and it really looks like he is about to be suspended.

In round two, I picked WR Michael Thomas. There is a lot of buzz surrounding Thomas now that Brandin Cooks was traded to New England. Thomas finished ninth last year in fantasy football points with 163 and that was with Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead vying for receptions.

In round three, I got Todd Gurley. I believe Gurley will have a bounce-back season this year with Jeff Fisher gone, I see new head coach Sean McVay and offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur have already started moving Gurley around all over the offense to create mismatches and I expect them to get Gurley involved in the passing game as well. The Rams also upgraded their offensive line with Andrew Whitworth, Rodger Saffold, John Sullivan, and Rob Havenstein. I’m either going to look like a genius or a has-been, but I’m betting on the former.

Round four saw me take Travis Kelce, Kelce is a top tight end that Kansas City coach Andy Reid loves to use in their offense. In 2016, Kelce finished the number one tight end with 138 points.

In round five, I picked Terrelle Pryor, the quarterback turned receiver. There is a lot of hype surrounding Pryor in Washington. I am going to jump on the hype train.

In round six, I got Marcus Mariota. I have to have Mariota on my team this year, please fantasy gods!

In round seven, I got Ty Montgomery. I know Green bay drafted three running backs, but I am all in on Montgomery in his second year as a back. He has put on a little muscle, he is stronger and actually looks the part of a running back and my watercooler league is a PPR league, that’s a win-win for me and Montgomery’s 5.1 yards after contact led the league.

In round eight, I picked Ameer Abdullah. I like having serviceable running backs on my bench because you know one or two or more on your team will get banged up.

In round nine, I got Golden Tate.

Round 10 saw me pick Jeremy Maclin. Maclin gets a fresh start in Baltimore, taking over Steve Smith’s spot.

In Round 11, I picked up TE Zach Ertz.

In round 12, I picked Rishard Matthews. I need to pair up a WR with my QB.

In round 13, I got Philip Rivers. Philip Rivers is always good in a pinch.

In round 14, I got the Carolina Panthers defense.

In round 15, I picked up kicker Stephen Gostkowski.

And this got me a score of 97 out of 100 with Fantasy Pros’ Fantasy Football Draft Simulator. I can’t wait for my drafts!
