BELLATOR 200 was a tad odd to say the least. In this day and age of streaming; to have a memorable event (a 200th card) on the other side of the planet isn’t an issue. The issue comes from the company airing the main card well after it actually happened on a tape delay. The results of which thanks to mass media were already known. Meaning watching for most would be anti-climatic.

From London’s SSE ARENA; for the second time SCOTT COKER put a belt around the waist of  GEGARD MOUSASI.“THE DREAMCATCHER” was able to take the defending middleweight  champ  RAFAEL CARVALHO down, gain mount, and pound away till referee DAN MIRAGLIOTTA stopped it at 3:35 of round 1. Gegard then on the mic challenged fellow former UFC fighter, welterweight champ  RORY MACDONALD. Rory; on social media immediately accepted the super-fight request.  MICHAEL “VENOM” PAGE remained undefeated; going to 13-0; in front of his hometown crowd. His 11th stoppage was total domination. His striking came from every angle and his movement was crisp. He did that against a tough opponent in DAVID RICKELS. 43 seconds into round 2, MVP stepped out of the way of a left hand and countered with a thunderous right hand that worsened a vicious cut to David’s left eye. Although he didn’t go down; he motioned to referee ROB HINDS that he’d had enough and was verbally submitting.  Which should set up an MVP vs RORY welterweight title fight if they don’t go with the MOUSASI match-up.

It only took 1:55 for English TV star AARON CHALMERS to pick up his 4th win in a row. He got ASH GRIFFITHS to tap to a guillotine. MIKE SHIPMAN only needed 11 seconds to TKO CARL NOON. Highly touted, young Russian star ANASTASIA YANKOVA tasted defeat for the first time; dropping a unanimous decision to KATE JACKSONPHIL DAVIS staked his claim to trilogy vs RYAN BADER when he KO’d LINTON VASSELL with a nasty head kick after an action packed fight 1:05 into the 3rd round.

JAHREAU SHEPHERD did enough damage to MARCIN ZYWICA in the 1st round that the cage side doctor stopped the fight between rounds. WALTER GAHADZA locked in a RNC on KENT KAUPPINEN 2:04 of round 2 that he tapped to. AMIR ALBAZI rocked IURI BEJENARI with an uppercut, then on the mat got his back cinching in a RNC for the submission win 3:21 into round 1.  TOM GREEN was TKO’d by CHARLIE LEARY with 2 seconds left in round 2. CONOR MCGREGOR’S SBG teammate CHARLIE WARD was too much for MARTIN HUDSON to handle; TKO’ing him 2:23 into round 1. He then called out rapper/actor 50CENT; who’s gained interest in Bellator. PEDRO CARVALHO beat DANIEL CRAWFORD via split decision. ANATOLY TOKOV  got VLADIMIR FILIPOVIC to tap to a guillotine 56 seconds into their fight. KEVIN FRYER was TKO’d by COSTELLO VAN STEENIS 87 seconds into their fight. The night opened up with a nasty injury when MIKE EKUNDAYO defeated TOM MEARNS 62 seconds into their fight.
