Phillies Sign David Robertson

The Philadelphia Phillies have just added a reliable arm to their bullpen.

Former New York Yankee reliever David Robertson has agreed to a two year deal with the Phils, with a potential third year team option on the table for him. The deal will be worth at minimum $23 million if he only stays the two seasons.

Robertson, a former closer for both the Yankees and Chicago White Sox, had another solid season in 2018, as one of the more consistent arms in the Yankee bullpen. He finished ’18 with a 3.23 ERA, striking out 91 over 69 and 2/3 innings.

Robertson has a career 2.88 ERA and 137 saves.
