The 2017 season has its first PED use victim.
All-Star outfielder Starling Marte of the Pittsburgh Pirates has been suspended 80 games after testing positive for the PED Nandrolone, a well-known anabolic steroid.

Marte’s suspension is a BIG loss for the Pirates. Without Marte’s bat in the lineup and glove on the field, it creates a major hole on their roster that is very difficult to fill.
As of this writing, Marte is not expected to appeal the suspension.
