Red Sox Complete Magical Season

108 regular season and 11 postseason wins later, the Boston Red Sox are your 2018 World Series champions.

However, all the attention wasn’t on them heading into game five on Sunday night.

The limelight disappeared from the Red Sox game four victory that put them up three games to one for a bit when President Donald Trump left his input regarding the fatal mistake by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

President Trump’s analysis was indeed correct and it highlighted one of many Roberts’ shot in the foot mistakes during this World Series. Thing is, even if Roberts managed a perfect World Series, there was just no stopping Boston this year.

Everything fell into place for Boston this season even with a bullpen that sometimes proved to be a headache for fans. J.D. Martinez proved to be worth every penny after signing a five year $110 million deal this past offseason. David Price after being a disappointment since his debut in a Red Sox uniform, finally stepped up and became a clutch pitcher when it mattered. Chris Sale performed above expectations as the team’s ace. Eduardo Rodriguez and Rick Porcello both had a great 2018 season, providing the team with reliable starting pitching. Steve Pearce when coming over to the Red Sox became their go-to lefty smasher and eventual World Series MVP. Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi both showed why they are the future of this Boston franchise, providing the best 1-2 punch in the game.

There’s so many important key cogs for this Red Sox team, there’s just too many to go through, but you get the gist of it.

Whether it was the 108 regular season wins or the dominating fashion Boston took out the Yankees, Astros and Dodgers, no one stood a chance at taking them down.

Chris Sale making Manny Machado look foolish for the final out of the World Series couldn’t have painted a better picture regarding the season for the Boston Red Sox.

Simply magical.
