It worked for Colby Lewis and it worked for Eric Thames.

Now, Dillon Gee is looking to give his career a shot in the arm by heading to Japan.

Gee, who is now 32 years old, is attempting the same road former Texas Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis did years ago.

You refine your craft and if the improvement is there, some team will look to sign you.

Gee still has some gas in the tank after spending the past few seasons floating from team to team. His best season was in 2011 with the New York Mets, winning 13 games. He did pitch relatively well with the Minnesota Twins in his short stint with them last season, finishing with a 3.22 ERA and striking out 31 over 36 1/3 innings.
