Roy Halladay Dies in Plane Crash

Roy Halladay, the last pitcher to throw a no-hitter in a playoff game and one of the most respected and feared pitchers in the game of baseball, has died due to a plane crash off of the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday.

Halladay was 40 years old.

Halladay owned the plane that crashed off of the Gulf of Mexico and it has been confirmed that he indeed was the one operating the plane. He was the only one on board.

A two-time CY Young award winner, “Doc” Halladay will always be remembered as a dominant workhorse who was not only feared on the mound, but well liked by anybody whoever played with or against him.

Our condolences to the family of Halladay, such a tragedy.
