There are so far four SEC games that have announced kickoff times, six teams combined, as they involve four teams from the SEC East and two out of the West. The fourth is a non-conference game which is also a neutral site game, and is also a key moment to start the season. Here are the four SEC games that have announced kickoff times along with the dates.

  • September 1: West Virgina vs Tennessee (Charlotte), 3:30 PM ET: Jeremy Pruitt will officially make his debut as Volunteers head coach in the Queen City for the Belk Kickoff Game. It is the first time that Tennessee will face a Big XII team in the regular season since Oklahoma in 2015. It is also the first ever meeting between the Mountaineers and the Volunteers, with Dana Holgorson entering his eighth season as head coach of West Virginia. Former Texas A&M OC Jake Spatival is entering his second season with the Mountaineers.
  • September 8: Georgia @ South Carolina, 3:30 PM ET: This has become an annual rivalry like no other, and with both teams on the rise in the East, this is sure to make a great matinee matchup. While the Bulldogs are coming off an SEC and Rose Bowl Championships (not to mention losing the CFP national title), Will Muschamp looks to have formed a new identity leading the Gamecocks and now has former Georgia WR coach Bryan McClendon as full time OC. McClendon served as interim coach in the Bulldogs’ 2015 bowl game after Mark Richt was fired.
  • September 15: LSU @ Auburn, 3:30 PM ET: With graduate transfer Joe Burrow most likely leading the Bayou Bengals into the Plains, he would face off with another former transfer in Jarrett Stidham, who will be on cue to defend their SEC West title. It will be the first conference matchup of the season, with Ed Orgeron entering his second full year as head coach while Gus Malzahn will be harder at work with his brand new seven-year contract. LSU won last year’s meeting under Orgeron’s first full season as head man.
  • October 27: Florida vs Georgia (Jacksonville), 3:30 PM ET: This annual rivalry in Jacksonville has once again took another turn with Dan Mullen returning to Florida, this time as the head coach. Mullen knows the program inside out, and will most likely return the team to the form it once knew while Urban Meyer was the head coach. Before Kirby Smart officially sent Jim McElwain out the door after last year’s game, Florida has won three of the last four.
