SEC Football on Veteran’s Day? There couldn’t be a more better way to salute our troops on the second weekend in November. Several look to be rivalry games if you still want to call it that depending on overall head to head, but there is one game worth the stakes. We have a couple of games which could make or break more head coaches as one is already unexpectedly vacant. Here are my picks for the week of November 11.

  • Florida @ South Carolina (Noon ET, CBS): It is the first of a doubleheader on CBS and this is what you could call the Spurrier Bowl. Interim head coach Randy Shannon is 0-1 and hopes to have a game plan put together. Will Muschamp looks for his first win against former team and end a two game losing streak and rebound from a tough loss to Georgia. The Gators have lost four in a row, all SEC games as this is their last conference game of the season.
  • Georgia @ Auburn (3:30 PM ET, CBS): Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs may have already clinched the SEC East, but still have a lot to play for as the number one seed in the CFP rankings. The Tigers took care of business at College Station as they continue their surprising pursument of the SEC West. Not only does Jarrett Stidham rank third in the SEC in passing, it will be a battle of the second and third ranked running backs in the conference.
  • Alabama @ Mississippi State (7 PM ET, ESPN): For the second straight year, the Crimson Tide is coming off another physical game against LSU and could make up for it in Starkville against the Bulldogs. Alabama has won nine in a row, all lopsided victories with the exception of 2014. Since losing two in a row, Mississippi State has won four in a row, three of them runaway victories with the exception of the early struggles against UMass last week.

Remaining SEC games:

Louisiana-Lafayette @ Ole Miss (Noon ET, SEC Network)

Arkansas @ LSU (Noon ET, ESPN)

Kentucky @ Vanderbilt (4 PM ET, SEC Network)

New Mexico @ Texas A&M (7 PM ET, ESPNU)

Tennessee @ Missouri (7:30 PM ET, SEC Network)
