The Oklahoma City Thunder beat Thursday’s 3pm trade deadline by making a move to make a necessary upgrade to their front court.
Doug McDermott, Taj Gibson, possible 2nd rounder ➡ OKC.
Cameron Payne, Anthony Morrow, Jeffery Lauvergne ➡ Bulls.

Fan favorite Cameron Payne had to be shipped to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for sixth man and rebounder Taj Gibson, as well as Dougie McBuckets, Doug McDermott.
The Thunder took a gamble by trading veteran shooter Anthony Morrow, but are hoping McDermott can explode to the potential his first round selection a few years ago promised.
The move makes sense for the Thunder, but they needed more offensive help for Westbrook. Can McDermott be that guy?
As for the Bulls, not really too sure why they acquired Payne, since they have a bunch of similar point guards on the roster, but are better. Guess they’re going to give him a run and see what the future holds for him.
