Two Years Ago Today: Colon Goes Yard

It’s hard to find the right words when explaining how amazing it was as a baseball fan to watch Bartolo Colon hit a James Shields fastball over the wall in San Diego. I’ll let the video do the talking for me.

Colon’s blast even two years later is just as majestic as it was when he hit it in the left field porch.

It will be the only home run of Colon’s career, who is the only player left standing to have played before the 2000 season.

Nearly 250 wins, a CY Young and this Ruthian home run . . .

This may be his biggest accomplishment of his career and will always be remembered for it.

All hail Big Sexy.

No, not Kevin Nash.
